No middle ground?

Greetings to you my friends and perhaps even new visitors; welcome to this new commentary and the website. I want to comment on something that we may all have come up against at one time or another, when thinking about the issue of salvation and what happens after this life. Now that is a big subject, so I will narrow it down in a bit, but first let us think about some things. As you can see by the title, there is a question at the end, involved with the statement. What does that mean, “no middle ground”? At first glance or thought, we can all immediately have some questions and concerns with that kind of statement, such as; “There has to be some middle ground” or “everything is not just black or white-right or wrong” and the many more responses that could come, “compromises have to be made so that we can all get along”.

There must be a “Happy medium” between this thing or that, you might say—but what about that realistically? Many feel that when we do not all agree then we should just compromise—meet somewhere in the middle to avoid any disagreement. “You go your way and I will go mine and we will all meet together in the end”-that sort of thinking. But does that ever really work with humans? On some things of little consequences it might, but what about salvation and the issues that bring about life eternal? Where is the middle ground on that?

There always seems to be “more to the story” but even in religion and for the purpose of salvation, there are consequences for sin which is death and there is no middle ground. We have all earned the death penalty! (Rom.3:23 & 6:23) Within the COG splinters and organizational groups, there is a popular saying; we will just have to “agree to disagree” and that is of course to keep the peace while doing a work instead of squabbling over certain understandings and doctrines that may have been manufactured over the last 30 years or more. (I will not get further into that at this time because that is another “story”.)

I agree that in many cases in life’s ins and outs, ups and downs; it is best to remain at peace instead of demanding that a certain thing has to be done a certain way, but does that apply to all things and in every situation? Is there always a compromise or middle ground that can be taken instead of yielding to one way or the other, with no middle ground? When does having a confrontation on certain issues amount to a learning experience for one party or the other, maybe even both parties? Can some just remain “neutral” and never take a stand on anything and still be a Christian? Is it alright to think one way when you are around this “group” and change that way of thinking when you are around others? Is that even real repentance? What about this or that doctrine and where did it come from? Are its bases on a certain scriptural teaching that can be backed up by other scriptures and proven, or is it some compromise with the Word of God and the way of the world, exclusive to this or that “Group” or organization? There is a song lyric that says; “you have to stand for something or you will fall for anything” or something to that affect, and that is very true when it comes to salvation or the religions of the world. There is no middle ground!

Okay, now that you are seeing that there are some specifics involved and intended with the statement and a whole lot of questions can come from it; what is the real reasoning behind the statement and this commentary?

Well, it is not simply about any old thing that comes along in life because, remember; I mentioned salvation and eternal life was involved. Is there or isn’t there any middle ground, when that is the concern? NOT ACCORDING TO WHAT GOD REVEALS in the Bible, unless you are interpreting it for yourself! There is no middle ground. It is about life or death—only two ways! It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that out, so why is it that the vast majorities who claim to be Christian have not came to see that yet? Why??? Because some answers were meant to be simple (2Cor.11:3-NKJ) but Satan confuses and deceives humanity, just like he did with mother Eve and the TWO TREES. (See 2Cor.4:4 & 11:1-4, along with Rev.12:9)

Most think that Christ came some 4,000 years after creation to bring peace, but according to His own Word; that is not the cases! Look at this in your own bibles; Matt 10:34-38

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.  35 For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';  36 and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.'   37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.”  (NKJV throughout)

Luke 12:51-53

“Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.  52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.  53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."

Luke 14:26-27

"If anyone comes to Me and does not hate (meaning “love less by comparison”) his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.  27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” Are you willing to turn the world against you in order to help and support the work of God and follow the example of Christ? (Mark 8:34& 35, plus Ch.10:29-31)

No one can remain “Neutral” because God did not create man to be neutral. God set only two ways in motion at creation, and again to Israel. (Gen.2:9 & Deut.30:15-20) Ah yes, there is the controversy of the “Old Testament” and the human way of thinking! Christ did away with that—right? WRONG! “Then why is there so many ways that lead to death but only one way that leads to life” becomes another question. “Surely there are more ways than one to achieve salvation”, you may now be thinking. “Are all these churches wrong when teaching the law in done away”? That is what many of these differing religions and various churches want you to believe. “There must be some middle ground, isn’t there”? There is not, my friend! When it is all boiled down, all those ways that lead to death are just part of the confusion that Satan the devil has thrown at mankind with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They all come from the wrong tree! He even started the immortality of the soul way of thinking (Gen.3:4&5) that is so popular in false Christianity. Satan does not care how far off or how close we may think we get to the mark—the key is for him—that he deceive humanity just enough that the vast majority are missing the mark. One believes this and another believes that while this group over here believes something else entirely—none of which the Bible portrays exactly. That is even happening now inside these COG groups, to a certain degree. Christ says; "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, (so it is not an easy road) and there are few who find it.” (Matt 7:13-14)

Verses: 21-23

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”  This has been defined by the Bible as a breaking of one of the 10 Commandments (1John 3:4) and to break any one of them is to break them all. (James 2:8-12)

So to conclude; are all professing “Christians” and True Christians equal in God’s eyes? I will say it again and this time without the question mark; there is “no middle ground” for the one who really wants to have salvation in the Kingdom and Family of God, as a first fruit from this age! It has to be done GODS way! There IS only one way!
